As of right now, there is a lot of chitter-chatter about a coming recession. Of course, opinion matters and political affiliation usually determines one's belief in political matters. I have come across websites that have debunked the recession reports, claiming the economy is doing better than ever. Right-wing bloggers are mostly claiming all of the recession talk is just left-wing propaganda and should not be taking seriously. The question is who's data is correct? Who is producing the right information and what is the truth in the matter?
Some bloggers claim the very idea of a recession is a myth and a giant hoax. Their theory is recessions are just a creation of the powers that be. Some make the claim that information on the economy is something that is manipulated by people in power to control the mind set of the average joe and small businessmen. We are change wrote an article about this back in 2014.
I left the below.
Another article worth reading is "Debunking the myth of the great recession" by dailyreckoning.com

Assuming the recession is real, it could potentialy sink Trumps ship before the 2020 Presidential debates.
Trump's trade wars have been a political talking point and could very well become Trump's version of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, leading into a recession and possibly something worse. The world has changed its view on American policies on trade and international affairs. Trump has shwon the world that the U.S does not keep it's word and depending on who the President is, the U.S will not always keep it's promises nor honor the agreements that have been made by prior administrations. Who can trust the U.S at this point and why would they?
It is not possible for republicans to ever blame Trump for anything. I remember when Obama first took office, he inherited the Bush recession and Republicans called it Obama's recession.
You may be thinking why am I bringing up Bush and Obama? Well, history repeats itself. Liberals are using the word recession more and more these days and it is hard to tell if it is real or just a scare tactic. Either way, Trump has owned the economy. Trump has taken credit for the so-called economic surge since the day he stepped foot in the white house.
Every President has a legacy they leave behind and at the moment Trump's trade wars have become his legacy.
If the U.S economy actually tanks within the next year, it will be interesting to see who Trump blames this time. I can all but assure you that republicans will somehow blame the next president. Ironically, this possible recession will hurt Trump's base the most. Yet, I cannot see his base admitting it. Will his base even be smart enough to understand what happened to them? Or will history continue to repeat itself?
After news broke out about Jay-Z's partnership with the NFL, the rapper and businessman has a new title, he is being labeled a sell-out by the people that still support Colin Kaepernick. Jay-Z criticized Travis Scott for performing at the SuperBowl this year. Just six months later Jay-Z partners with the NFL and is asking the Black community to just move on.
The internet has been mostly divided on this topic. The real question is, can we move on? More importantly, is it time to move on? The NFL has shown its ability to blackball an athlete that speaks on social justice. Also, the NFL has become defiant towards Kaepernick who did not say anything disrespectful, he just to a knee in silent protest but the league took issue with it in the worse way possible.
I believe the real reason the NFL is even doing this partnership with Jay-Z, is damage control. Sometimes businesses underestimate the power of the Black community. By blackballing Kaepernick, it made the NFL appear to be siding with Trump. That's not a reputation you want to have when the majority of your players are Black. The Jay-Z partnership is just too little, too late. All they can do now is ruin what little credibility JayZ has in the Black community.
Since Jeffrey Epstein's sudden suicide, news outlets have been pretty quiet about Iran. All of the tough talk between the U.S and Iran has continued but it has not been a top news story recently. National Security Advisor John Bolton has not stopped talking about Iran even with so many distractions. The U.S has been aggressive towards Iran, even bragging about how the U.S has hurt Iran financially.
Add on top of that the U.S becoming more active militarily and you can see how the Trump administration is trying to bait Iran into attacking U.S forces.
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif criticized the U.S for it's increase in military presence in the strait of Hormuz and called the U.S out for for creating a combustible situation.
"Adding foreign naval fleets in this narrow & crowded tinderbox only increases risk of combustion," Zarif said. "If US wants maritime security, it should stop its destabilizing behavior."
FM. Zarif said in an interview with Al Jazeera, "the best thing the U.S can do for protection of maritime naval navigation is just leave people alone, don't interfere."
Zarif called the U.S actions hostile.
The Trump administration is looking at a possible recession and now more than ever, Trump needs a cover story. He needs something to distract people from his failed politics and his failed economic strategies. War with Iran will not work as a distraction but it will not stop the Trump administration from trying.
Jeffrey Epstein's suicide had the entire internet world going crazy with rumors and conspiracy theories. This is the one time I can't criticize the internet for being conspiracy nuts. In fact, I can argue that the internet is on point this time around.
Epstein's death not only keeps him from spending the rest of his life in jail, but it also helps his associates. For that reason alone, I am almost certain that this a cover-up for the elites who have been linked to Epstein.
According to multiple sources, the FBI investigation into Epsteins pedophilia ring will continue despite his shocking suicide.
Though Epstein himself is dead, his victims and multiple witnesses are still alive to tell their stories. More importantly,
Epstein has a diary full of information that can expose even more these elite pedophiles.
Adding to the conspiracy, President Trump retweeted a post that made the claim that Epstein's death was faked.
Sen. Mark Rubio responded to the retweet
"It's sad (and frightening) to see so many Americans on both sides of partisan unwittingly helping them. Putin has weaponized our polarization," Rubio tweeted.
Sen.Mark Rubio is not the only person lashing out at Trump for the retweet.
According to CBS News, Rachel Cohen, a spokesperson for Sen.Mark Warner, stated... "astonishingly irresponsible for the President to be echoing these charges."
It seems as if everybody that is somebody is weighing in on Jeffrey Epstein's suicide. The news of his death has led to much finger-pointing from both political parties. It is truly amazing to see so many people in positions of power throw each other under the bus in order to save their own careers. My prediction is whatever information is available will be searched out and buried by the powers that be. Too many bigwigs are caught up in this scandal and they have too much to lose.
After all of the mass shootings that have taken place at the hands of White extremists and White Nationalists, Black extremists is now considered more dangerous than White extremists are.
It is almost bizarre to think that Black extremism is the focus of counter terrorism when I can not recall one Black extremist killing people in the name of Black Nationalism.
Not only is Black Identity Extremism considered more dangerous than White Extremism but under Trumps administration, it is at the very top of the list of terrorist groups like Al Queda.
This is a desperate attempt to downplay White terrorists in the U.S that have reacted to their victimization mentality with prejudice and violence.
For years right-wing media propagandists have fed low-income White people the lie that brown people are taking their jobs away. In reality, technology is taking everybody's jobs away.
I am amazed at how often Black people are called out for labeling ourselves as victims but nobody calls out the Whites that literally blame minorities for everything. Truth is I should not be amazed at anything anymore. So I will end with this... if one Black person shot up a school or a mall, in the minds of racists, it would be worse than the many white extremists that have done the same thing over the past five years. So I will throw out a number here, if one Black extremist commits a terrorist attack, it would take anywhere from ten to twenty White extremists committing the same violent act before White extremism would be considered a threat. Yeah, that sounds about fair.
First off, I don't think for one second that Donald Trump is actually even thinking about making extensive background checks mandatory. Trump made a similar promise after the Parkland High shooting in Florida. Nonetheless, Trump has been under much scrutiny for being insensitive and he has to at least try to come across as being sympathetic.
“There was a great appetite for background checks,” Trump said to reporters on Wednesday.
Conspiracy theorists have already started the "they're coming for our guns" outcry on social media. However, as we all know, the NRA controls the Republican party. There is no way in hell Trump would buck against one of the parties biggest contributors. Common sense is something that many of these conspiracy theorists lack. The NRA turning on Trump would be an automatic loss for Trump in the 2020 election.
According to The Washington Post, NRA Chief executive Wayne Lapierre spoke to Trump and told him that his supporters would not be in favor of a background check bill. The Washington Post also reports advisers to Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell said he would not bring any gun control legislation without widespread Republican support.
The warning to Trump by the NRA and the comments made by McConnell's advisers only reiterate what I have been telling conspiracy bloggers and podcasters since the El Paso shooting was first reported, there will be no real gun control legislation passed by either party no time soon. It just does not sit well for conservatives in office. Yes, there will be talks about gun control bills but passing the bill will be like committing political suicide for Republicans.
One of the main reasons I have never bothered to monetize my Youtube channel is because Youtube is so sensitive about what is considered violence, or hate speech. A long time ago, I saw the writings on the wall as Youtubers started complaining about being demonitized without justification.
Youtube has pretty much-replaced television in the 21st Century. It is has become a necessary tool for independent media, podcasters, vloggers, etc.
Youtube has the power and with that power comes greed and influence.
Mainstream media has seen a drop in interest due to Youtube being a hub for independent media networks.
People are simply tired of fake news and political bias.
In response, Youtube has critiqued the algorithms, making mainstream media heavily recommended and independent media networks are buried resulting in a decrease of unsubscribed viewership.
This has drastically affected radio shows on Youtube such as the David Pakman Show. David Pakman has made a few videos recently explaining how this has hurt his show financially.
Despite the mainstream media hype, the Black community has been all over Kamala Harris and not in a good way.
Harris had a spike in the polls after she questioned former VP Joe Biden on bussing in the 70's. The media coverage would have you think Harris was winning over the Democratic party. But Kamala Harris is losing support from the Black community and some would argue that she never had it in the first place.
Months ago a video surfaced of Kamala Harris back in 2009, laughing about how she would have parents jailed for failing to make their children go to school. It has been all down hill for her since then. It does not help that she has what some would say is a bad track record when it comes to locking up Black people for drug offenses. There was a time when drug offenses were seen as a horrible crime but nowadays more and more people are against locking up people for drug offenses.
Kamala Harris has another video that is floating around online that does not help her out. When Harris first announced she was running for President, she did an interview with the popular Black radio show, "The Breakfast Club" and she admitted to smoking weed in the past.
That confession is cringe-worthy to the people that remember her tough stance against drug users when served as AG in the state of California.
Tulsi Gabbard took shots at Harris by bringing up her questionable record and called Harris out for being a hypocrite when it comes to prison reform.
Gabbard seemed to have a loaded gun, ready to take aim at Harris, saying
"There is no excuse" for her record as a prosecutor and she owed those "who suffered under [her] reign as prosecutor" an apology.
Tulsi Gabbard did not stop there, she continued to attack the former California AG. "There are too many examples to cite, but she put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana. She blocked evidence, she blocked evidence that would have freed an innocent man from death row until the courts forced her to do so," Gabbard said.
The Black community has praised Tulsi Gabbard for exposing Kamala Harris and if there is anything that would kill any hope Harris has of winning the Democratic presidential nomination, it's losing the support of the Black community.
