It seems as if the Black vote has become the key to the White House again. Trump proved in 2016, he did not need the Black vote or any other minorities to be real about it. Trump proved that all he needs is a bunch of pissed off White people, that feel like Obama was the worst thing that happened to White America.
Hillary Clinton loss the 2016, election because she was not able to click with Black people. Joe Biden has been put on the hot seat for his vote on busing in the '70s. Mayor Pete Buttigieg made an appearance at "Essence Festival" where he spoke on many issues concerning the Black Community. Mayor Pete Buttigieg is still trying to recover from the backlash coming from the Black community after a police officer shot a Black man without having his body cam on.
It has become clear that Republican candidates don't need the Black vote but the Democrats not only need the Black vote but they live and die by it.
The Black Lives Matter chapter in Dayton Ohio is scheduled to hold a rally on Saturday, May 25. Unfortunately for them, they will be met with resistance as the hate group called the Honorable Sacred Knights, which is affiliated with the KKK in Indiana, will also be there to have a rally.
Black Lives Matter purposely scheduled their rally on this day to counter the KKK’s rally which already scheduled for May 25.
Carlos Buford, the organizer of the BLM chapter released a statement, explaining the reason for holding the rally on the same day as the KKK’s rally.
“Our Black community is facing astronomical levels of systemic racism and the launch of Black Lives Matter Dayton would like to be that bridge of hope for Black citizens by focusing on challenging laws and policies that keep Black people and communities oppressed and terrorized by police brutality,” Buford wrote on the group’s GoFundMepage.
Some people in the Dayton area fear that the event could turn into a powder keg.
The two sides may clash on this day in a way that is similar to Charlottesville.
